此夹具按照“90°快粘力“的试验方法进行。具体过程为，将胶带试样贴合在镜面不锈钢板上，不锈钢板由底座的两端锁紧螺母固定。以一定速度将胶带试样以90°剥离，取三次测量的平均值。
